The Oskary Fashion Award for the best emerging polish fashion designer

The Oskary Fashion Award by the Fashion Magazine Poland is where the young fashion designers come into prominence since 2000. This year the collection MOONLIGHTS by Aleksandra Kawalko has won the first prize with the draped chiffon on shiny olive silk and black zipped dresses. Here are some looks of the line, enjoy!!

The Designer Of The Year 2010 exhibition featuring Tomasz Augustyniak

Tomasz Augustyniak is the IWP award-winner of the 17th edition of the Dobry Wzor 2010 (The Good Design) contest by the IWP. The contest aims to look for the best designed products and services in Poland.
Tomasz Augustyniak has made his name as a furniture designer. More than 170 pieces have been taken into regular production and the designs have been exhibited in many  places in Poland and abroad.  This time his Meee collection of children multisensory furniture set for Vox Meble has gained a recognition for a tremendous combination of talent and professionalism with a recognizable way of design along with a well-developed commercial sense. Have a look at the images to get a bit of what the Meee collection is about and see you at the exhibiton!!

The About Design! Fair for the very first time in Gdansk

It’s the very first time such a fair is being held in Gdansk. The aim is to present the newest and most interesting interior design, including a good sort of pieces of furniture and all the other items of applied arts that can be found in home and space design. The fair is about to satisfy even the most demanding tastes of design-lovers and is dedicated to both the professionals as well as individuals. Keep the Young Design area in mind as you can find some of the items displayed and presented by their designers the very right choices for home. Rage Age Gibraltar Base ss2011

Have a look at the awesome images of the new Rage Age by Rafal Czapul ss2011 collection. The line is dominated by the raw military sets with a series of green, burned beige, navy and mellow gold. Multi-pocket jackets and pants, shirts and coats are made from leather, canvas, jersey, wool and silk and the accessories are launched in the limited edition. Enjoy!!

The 4th edition of the Make Me! design contest

The 4th edition of the Make Me! design contest has been launched and this time too, the best works will be displayed at the upcoming Lodz Design Week in October. Send your work if you’re between 20 and 30 years old no matter if you’re working individually or in a design team. We’re looking forward to see the best ones!
